Indian Low Calorie Chutney Recipe

Tomato & Mint Chutney (Sauce)


4 tomatoes chopped

1  bunch mint (pudina) leaves chopped

1/2 cup sugar

1 piece cinnamon (dalchini)

2 bay leaves (tejpatta)

2 tsps ginger (adrak) chopped

2 fresh green chillies (hari Mirch)

2 fresh red chillies (lal mirch)

1/4 cup vinegar (sirka)

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1tsps salt


  • Cook tomatoes, pudina, sugar, dalchini, tejpatta, adrak, hari mirch, lal mirch salt and red chilli power in a thick based sauce pan on low heat for 30-35 minutes.
  • When all the ingredients are cooked, add vinegar and mix well.
  • Cool and store in a air tight container and serve.
